If you didn’t know the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race is on at the moment you must be living in a field in the middle of nowhere. Obviously without access to television, radio or in fact any other form of contact with the outside world. It’s fair to say the Tour de Yorkshire is featured just about everywhere.
Broadcast across 150 countries around the world with 1000’s of spectators turning out along the route. Cheering on the World Champions and Olympian Cyclists as they speed on by.
Luckily for me the start of stage two was just down the road in Selby. I managed to brave the crowds and snap a few of the riders as they set off from the impressive Selby Abbey, across the old Toll Bridge and River Ouse and on through the countryside, ending up in the historic city of York.
