One of the things I love about Autumn is the colours of the trees as they change with the season. Spectacular shades of yellow, red, orange, purple, and browns. There’s no better place to see this than Thorp Perrow Hall and Arboretum in Bedale. Set in over a hundred acres of beautiful woodland gardens it’s home to one of the largest collections of shrubs and trees in the North of England.
On arrival you are given a map of the grounds and the many walks, trails and glades to explore. It also has a wonderful collection of Birds of Prey and a Mammal Centre with meerkats and wallaby’s. I had an amazing day followed by a lovely afternoon tea in the tearoom. Well worth a visit for all the family and very reasonably priced.
