What can I say about the Mirfield Agricultural Show? Are you a fan of Tripe, Jelly or Banana eating competitions? What about Rabbit Jumping or Birds of Prey? If so, this is the event for you. It’s a huge agricultural show which is held annually at the Huddersfield Road Showground in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
Thousands of people attend each year on the third Sunday of August. Although it’s roots are that of the Yorkshire agricultural show, it also embraces the whole family including children, grandparents and family pets. It really is an amazing day out for all the family and there’s so much to see and do for everyone.
I loved going along with my camera to capture some of the weird and wonderful sights on offer. I mean it’s not every day you get to see Llamas racing around and jumping hurdles is it?
