I do a lot of my work from an office at RAF Church Fenton. Today the airport staged The Mint Festival, Yorkshire’s biggest Electronic music Festival and I had to take a look. With stages set up inside the plane hangars and shipping containers, the festival had the perfect setting.
The Mint festival has some of the finest artists from the worlds of house, garage, drum and bass, techno, and more performing to over a staggering 50,000 revellers and it was staggering watching it come together. I collected my wristband and made my way through the crowds and around the site. The atmosphere was amazing and the stages were unique and impressive. Names like Area 51, The Woodstock Disco Stage and The Bunker.
Added to all of this were the many lasers, high tech lights and pyrotechnics to take your senses to the next dimension. Here are a few of the photographs I took.
