Celebrating “the Best of British” the Yorkshire Post motor show arrived at Castle Howard to put on another fabulous event. This time on the North and South lawns of the estate. The house, once immortalised in the big screen adaptation of Brideshead Revisited in 2008 looked spectacular. Originally starting life as a Classic Car Rally it has expanded over the years. Featuring more entertainment and making it a fun packed day for all the family.
Although the weather was a bit hit and miss, Castle Howard and it’s impressive grounds still made for a stunning backdrop for the show. Hundreds of vintage vehicles, classic cars and modern motors in all shapes, sizes and colours. Apart from the usual motor dealers and trade stalls, which are always worth a visit, there’s a fun fair, collectables, crafts and food stands.
Capping the day off was an aerobatic display from a Second World War Spitfire that made for a lot of happy faces on this wet and windy father’s day.
